What I liked
I love working here. It is a great place to work while you are in school because of the flexible hours and it just keeps your experience going when it comes to customer service. I submitted a resume that Handshakes helped me to update, because I am not too great with resume making. It was super helpful to get the job and be able to go through my previous experiences easily in my interview.

What I liked
My team was amazing and the management really trusted me with my job. I loved talked to guests about new and exciting books as well as making lattes in the café.
What I wish was different
You have to be at least a little educated to be able to talk about, sell, and suggest books. I wish they paid their employees a livable wage, considering we are all college students.

What I liked
It was exactly as I'd hoped - I needed a relatively chill retail job while working on other products, and it delivered. Being around books was nice and comforting in a way that other jobs hadn't been.
What I wish was different
It still is a retail job, and though things have changed somewhat since I've been there, all the pressures of a retail job are still there.
Advice
Don't be afraid of having a day job. Find something that's not too strenuous and usually doesn't leave you burnt out so you can work on other things.

What I liked
Great experience in the retail scene, learned a lot about covering with consumers and what to expect when working in various departments in retail.
What I wish was different
The approach I had the first time talking to customers.
Advice
If you are posted at the cash register your main focus is to sell memberships. Scanning, and bagging books can all be done by either machine or the costumer. Cashiers are expected to inform the customer about the recent store promotions and to get emails, and memberships.
