“I liked learning about how to produce Cellobiose Dehydrogenase (CDH) through the inoculation of P. Pastori for the overall goal of producing Cellobionic Acid (CBA). This acid could then be used in pretreatment of biomass to break biomass down into useful substances such as pharmaceuticals, biofuels, etc.”

“I really liked the full clinical immersion aspect of the internship. I was able to interact with surgeons, radiologists, technicians, and registered nurses. I got to learn a lot about the true needs that Biomedical Engineers need to address. I loved the final project and presentation where I was able to discuss my findings and ideas.”
