The time spent with helpful and awesome falculty and students who loved their field just as much as I did.

I wish there were more students involved during the summer. Campus can sometimes get boring without a crowd to hang out with.

I would say, If you want to make a change just do it. I was reluctant to accept this position due to my previous employer but once I did it I have not regretted it since!

What I liked
I enjoyed that challenging work and constantly critically thinking. I enjoyed all of the different areas of research I was exposed to as well as the different cultures that I got to experience.
What I wish was different
The only thing that I would have changed was that some of the mentor ship of my PI was at times extremely challenging to deal with.
Advice
My advice would be to apply to jobs that you think that you may not be the most qualified for. And take the leap of faith when offered a position that pushes you outside of your comfort zone it can be very rewarding.

I enjoyed getting to work with students, faculty, and staff. Getting to work in the administrative side of education gives me another perspective for when I start working as a teacher in a team with administrators. I have learned many useful tools while at work!

What I liked
I enjoy the flexibility with my school schedule. As a music student, performances pop up a lot, on short notice. My staff is always open when I need time off/to come in late. I also LOVE the experience I get working in an office that aligns with my major!
What I wish was different
I wish I had more time to work. Having a busy schedule in school makes it hard to truly establish a connection in my workplace
Advice
I would say to reach out to as many people as you can. Networking is essential in the real world, and having an on campus job gives us that opportunity to practice what we need to know.
