Metrolina Greenhouses is a family-owned, wholesale plant and services company founded in 1972 by the VanWingerden family. It has grown from its original 12 acres to 170 acres of greenhouse, making it the largest single-site heated greenhouse in the United States. In addition to our Huntersville location, we also have 175 acres of outdoor growing space in York, SC!
Though there are many unique aspects to Metrolina, one of our most notable accomplishments is our automation. We are one of the most automated greenhouses in the US and are constantly looking for ways to innovate and be more sustainable. With the help of our amazing employees as well as the automation, we supply over 100 million plants a year to Walmart, Lowes, and Home Depot!
