Kindros

Intern

July 2023 • Boston, MA

What I liked

Loved the culture of respect, transparency, and purpose. My feedback was valued equally, I was encouraged to speak, and my presence was welcomed at different events and meetings.

What I wish was different

I wish it was a more structured internship experience because they don't have a formal "internship experience".

Advice

Get the most mentorship and value out of it as possible. I was given a lot of autonomy but sometimes that meant less direction. Seek help when needed, and seek value out of the entire experience.

What I liked

Being an intern for Kindros has been one of the most meaningful experiences that I've had as a student. Not only did I learn tons about financial literacy and the importance of spreading this knowledge to people who may not have access to it, but I've also learned how to collaborate with a close-knit cohort including 7 other undergrads, an MBA student, and a founder who is deeply motivated to help people of all backgrounds. There are always teaching moments, whether it be about professional etiquette, DEI, the basics of investment, or simply sage advice for us younger folks. My ideas and work had a genuine impact on various projects and I really feel like I've learned so much by "doing" in the past 11 months. Overall, I've had a wonderful time working for Kindros!
