All of your work is completed on your own time aside from weekly check-in calls with a manager. You also get to network with lots of groups on campus, which is super fun and rewarding.
What I wish was different
I wish there was a bit more guidance at the beginning of the semester. Being that my main boss is not from the DC area, it was difficult to get immediate information about what exactly I was expected to do.
Advice
Don't be afraid to reach out to others for assistance. There is always someone who is willing to help. It is better to ask than to be lost and risk missing something important.
