The pay and I wish there was more to do. We did a lot of work, but it was pretty much the same thing every day and there was no variety in what we did.

Be sure that you are ready to deal with customers who may get angry at you about the littles things and be ready to be patient with who you work with

What I liked
I've been going to this summer camp since I was a little kid and this year I got to work to make the camp as special for today's kids as it was for me. It was an incredible experience, and I will be returning in the summer of 2020.
What I wish was different
I lived in the woods, practically in the middle of nowhere, with a hundred or so kids and 30 young adult staff members. All I wish is that I had spent a little bit more time enjoying it.
Advice
I would recommend this incredible, life-changing experience to absolutely everyone. Be patient with it, and it will be incredible for anyone else, too.

I wish the game times had more organization and the referees would enforce the rules like they were supposed to in order to prevent injuries.
Advice
Kids have shorter attention spans than you think, so it's better to give do everything in very short steps.

What I liked
I enjoy working with kids and watching them grow and learn new things about themselves and other people around them. I also loved getting to work with a team that cared about the camp as much as I do.
What I wish was different
The only thing I wish could be different is the hiring process so we make sure we are only taking employees with a strong work ethic and interest in the job.
Advice
Huge piece of advice is that kindness and being polite will get you so far and working with kids really helps you work on being polite and kind in situations where it might be more difficult.
