Paid housing, paid internship, fun activities all interns lived in suite hotels together.

I am more of a city person and the area is a little smaller for my taste

Ask questions, there will be a lot of information you don't understand, so don't be afraid to ask.

I wish that my store manager would appreciate the people that work for him better. He treated us like dirt unless you were deemed his favorite.

What I liked

- I got flown out to Bentonville, AK (Walmart HQ) to attend their biggest event of the year, Shareholders Week. Then they flew all the interns to Dallas and we had an "Intern Collaboration Week". All expenses paid. - The pay was excellent. Very very good pay for an intern. Highest pay I have ever seen for an internship position ever. - Internal network opportunities

What I wish was different

- I wish my team at my site was more organized and proactive. My mentor resigned during my internship and my internship project was given no attention or importance to. - Severely behind technologically compared to Amazon

Advice

Research about companies before joining because although the pay may be an incentive, the company culture, and environment matters more if you'd like to be a part of the organization or team for the long-run. This place was not fun for me and I doubt it'd be for you unless you like chaos and disorganization.
