I loved the staff that I worked with and also working in NYC! Working in a 5 star hotel in downtown Manhatten was an experience like no other. I was able to explore the city and make great connections! The internship was awesome because I was able to train for a management position and oversee a staff. My property included me in Executive meetings and I had a close relationship with both the Hotel Manager and General Manager of the Hotel. My supervisors were exceptionally helpful and provied a great experience for me. Hilton also organized several fun events for all of the interns and it was exciting to go to these events and network with other interns in the area.
What I wish was different
I wish I didn't have to work on the weekends although this is a key element of the hospitality industry so it was something I expected.
Advice
If youre interested in the Hospitliaty feild this is definetly an internship for you! Although warning you will be required to work weekends and sometimes long hours so be prepared! Otherwise, make sure to always ask questions and smile!
